"Becoming a Leader" Seminar
Leadership

True or False:

“Certain inborn qualities and innate traits make some people natural leaders.”

You likely said true, but the answer is actually false!

Leaders, particularly good ones, aren’t born, they’re made. No one is innately a leader, and no specific inborn traits make one person more likely to be effective at leadership than another. In reality, leadership is a process. It relies on the relationships we build with others and the service orientation we have. We can all be leaders if we are willing to consistently practice certain principals of leadership in our lives.

In this session, Dr. Barbra Kingsley will

  • Define what leadership is and what it isn’t;
  • Provide practical tips and techniques for becoming a leader; and,
  • Use engaging and fun exercises to help build leadership skills you can use in your family, your church, and your work.
